Taegeuk Philosophy: This suggests the wisdom of knowing when and where to stop, as if one were traveling through a steep mountain. This form interprets the dual principles of stability and ambition. The symbol of Taegeuk Chil Chang is Gahn, meaning mountain. A mountain is the spirit of firmness and strength.
