I Ching Interpretation: Fire

Taegeuk Interpretation: Fire and Sun

Taegeuk Philosophy: This form means Fire and Sun, so the movements emulate the qualities of fire, a flickering energy of unpredictable pace, styling and quietness followed by great excitement or great passion. It expresses something that is continuously moving and burning.

Practical application: Kukkiwon teaches that this Poomsae should be performed with energy, like fire. This Poomsae builds up on the two prior forms, and introduces knife hand techniques (Sonnal), and back stance
(Dwit Kubi). This form is for the 6th Gup. There are 20 steps, Ki-hap is at the end on the step #20.

Watch the video from Kukkiwon to practice at home and remember to come regularly to the Dojo to train with the Master and perfect your technique.
